The Little
Rock Fox Fire Protection District in accordance to its
ordinance reviews plans for compliance with the 2006
International Fire Code, and the 2006 Life Safety Code.

Plans
Reviewed are:
COMMERCIAL BUILDING PLANS
Commercial building plans submitted to the City of Plano,
Building, Planning, and Zoning Department that are
referenced by the 2006 International Building Code, to
comply with sections of the 2006 International Fire Code.
The City of Plano forwards these plans to the Fire
Prevention Bureau for review and compliance with the 2006
IFC, and the 2006 Life Safety Code.
Commercial
Building Plans submitted to the Kendall County Building
Department are forwarded to the Fire Prevention Bureau for
compliance with the 2006 International Fire Code, and the
2006 Life Safety Code.
For all
commercial buildings it shall be determined what type of
operations occur within the occupancy that affect the
storage of combustible materials, and whether there are any
uses involving any materials that are governed by SARA title
3 and fall under the Hazardous Materials use groups.
FIRE
SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS
The Fire Prevention Bureau reviews all automatic suppression
and alternative suppression systems for compliance with the
2006 IFC and the appropriate NFPA Standard, either NFPA
11,12,13,17,17A, and 2001.
FIRE ALARM
AND DETECTION SYSTEMS
The Fire Prevention Bureau reviews all fire alarm system for
compliance with the 2006 IFC and NFPA 72.
TANK
PERMITS
The Fire Prevention Bureau reviews all tank permits for
compliance with the 2006 IFC and approval from the Office of
the Illinois State Fire Marshal.
